We know that dogs are more than pets, they are family. Our dog-friendly resort on the California coast invites you and your four-legged companions to explore the rugged beauty of Big Sur together. From ocean-view trails to redwood paths, this is a place where both people and pets can breathe deeply, roam freely, and reconnect with nature.

We’ve designed our pet program with comfort and convenience in mind.

  • A one-time fee of $150 per stay (up to two dogs maximum)
  • A luxurious dog bed and water bowl provided in your room
  • Easy access to nearby walking paths and open spaces
  • Dedicated outdoor dining areas for shared moments together

To ensure a seamless dining experience for all, dogs are invited to join you outside for breakfast, lunch, and dinner on The Sur House Terrace, weather permitting. For indoor dining, only service animals, as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), are permitted.

Whether curled up by the fireplace or exploring the redwood trails, your dog will find the same spirit of peace and freedom that makes Big Sur so special.
