Sur Vista

Romantically secluded, this stunning outdoor terrace venue is exclusively dedicated to exchanging of vows. Aptly named for its sweeping views of the breathtaking blue Pacific Ocean, Sur Vista comfortably accommodates up to seventy guests in celebration of your most special day.

The Loft

Designed to reflect the same level of warmth you have for each other, The Loft at Ventana is the perfect venue for intimate receptions and cherished memories. Newly renovated, this rustic yet elegant indoor space features an oversized wood burning hearth, and offers up to seventy guests expansive views of Big Sur’s redwood beauty. View Floorplan.

OCEAN MEADOW LAWN

Perfectly situated in the heart of the resort, close to the Social House and pool area, this impressive, 7,000 square-foot manicured lawn affords spectacular views of both the forest and blue Pacific Ocean. As many as 200 honored guests can gather here, in the open ocean air or in the elegant shelter of designer canopies. This space is available for property buyouts only.

Sky Terrace

The elevated and secluded space offers spectacular ocean, meadow and redwood views. And you and your guests will enjoy bespoke meals prepared personally by our chef. (View 360° Tour)

Circle of Life

An intimate, peaceful outdoor area encircled by majestic old-growth trees – ideal for elopements. Exchange vows beneath the revered ancient Redwoods, surrounded by breathtaking nature. The Circle of Life accommodates up to 10 guests, standing room only.

REDWOOD CATHEDRAL

Surrounded by the natural sanctuary of the Redwoods, this outdoor ceremony space invites you and your guests to connect with the awe-inspirating forest during your vows. Centrally located within our resort, the Redwood Cathedral is 1722 square feet and can accommodate up to 100 guests.

Glass House

The details:

$7,800 excluding taxes and fees

The details: 

  • Includes overnight guest room accommodation for the engaged couple for two nights, Fireplace King room

  • Champagne Toast
  • Reservation at Sur House (dinner is inclusive with overnight guest room)
  • Option to add on a Private Dinner at the Glass House Gallery for an additional site fee of $2000 and $350/per person food and beverage minimum
  • Referral to our preferred list of local vendors for florals, officiant, photographer
  • Option to add on a small wedding cake (for an additional cost of $225)
  • A day-of wedding coordinator is recommended

The Intimate Big Sur Wedding Package
(up to 25 guests):
$6,500 (excluding taxes and fees)

  • Sur Vista Ceremony
  • Infused spa water refreshment at ceremony
  • Champagne Toast
  • Private reception at the Sky Terrace (excluding $350/per person food and beverage minimum)
  • Banquet tables and chairs (upgraded options available for an additional fee)
  • China, glassware and flatware
  • Referral to our preferred list of local vendors for florals, officiant, photographer
  • Option to upgrade reception to the Glass House Gallery for an additional fee (up to a max of 12 guests seated)
  • Option to add on a small wedding cake (for an additional cost of $375++)
  • A minimum of three guest rooms for two nights is required for all bookings May – October
  • A day-of wedding coordinator is required

The Ocean View Wedding Package
(up to 50 guests):
$10,000 (excluding taxes and fees)

The details: 

  • Sur Vista Ceremony
  • Infused spa water refreshment at ceremony
  • Champagne Toast
  • Private reception in the Loft (excluding $350/per person food and beverage minimum)
  • Banquet tables and chairs (upgraded options available for an additional fee)
  • China, glassware and flatware
  • Option to upgrade reception to the South Terrace for an additional fee
  • Referral to our preferred list of local vendors for florals, officiant, photographer
  • A minimum of six guest rooms for two nights is required for all bookings May – October
  • A day-of wedding coordinator is required

The Big Sur Wedding Package
(up to 175 guests):
$30,000 (excluding taxes and fees)

  • *Available Sunday – Thursdays; Friday and Saturday availability with full buyout only
  • A Full Property Buyout is highly recommended for weddings of this size

The details: 

  • Ocean Meadow Lawn Ceremony (Up to 175 guests) or Redwood Cathedral Ceremony (Up to 80 guests)
  • Infused spa water refreshment at ceremony
  • Champagne Toast
  • Private reception on the Sur House Restaurant Terraces (excluding $350/per person food and beverage minimum)
  • Option to add on a wedding cake prepared by our in-house pastry team (additional cost of $550++ depending on guest count)
  • Referral to our preferred list of local vendors for florals, officiant, photographer, etc.
  • Mandatory Guest Room Block of 35+ rooms with a two-night minimum is required to book this package (Cost of room block is not included in package. Discounted Group Rates will be provided.)
  • Rental for banquet tables, chairs, china, glassware, flatware, and linens is required
  • A day-of wedding coordinator is required

Alila Ventana Big Sur – Property Buyout Requirements:

The details: 

  • 54 Guest Sleeping Rooms and Suites at a discounted Inclusive Group Rate with a two-night minimum (Inclusive Rates include all on-own meals at the Sur House Restaurant, Poolside Dining, and Room Service. They exclude private events and alcohol.) Our current average inclusive guest room rate is $2,600++. Rates are dependent on specific date. For room costs, this averages around $300,000++ before taxes and fees.
  • Food and Beverage Minimum starting at $25,000++
  • Spa and Activity Minimum $15,000
  • Site Fee for all private events during your stay $25,000
  • A wedding planner is required for all buyouts.
  • Check in at 4 pm and check out at 11 am

The Pacific Coast Engagement Package:
